Accepting New Clients

Areas of expertise: Parenthood • Sexuality • Intersectionality • Intergenerational Conflict • C-PTSD

I am Christina Kim (she/they) and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Pam Shaffer (LMFT #91321). I am polyam, ENM, kink and LGBTQ+ affirming and provide therapy for relationships and individuals online. My specialties include working with individuals and couples who are exploring non-monogamy, navigating their journey through parenthood, or coping with high levels of conflict in their relationships.

Growing up, I found myself in the "in between" spaces that immigrant children often occupy, acting as the cultural bridge and translator for my Korean family in America. Now as a therapist, I am interested in bridging intergenerational communication gaps and supporting marginalized communities with systemic inequities. As a new mother, I am interested in supporting those who are navigating the different phases of pregnancy and parenthood and those who are curious about their potential journey as a parent as well.

My hope is to create a safe, collaborative space with you in which you can explore your multiplicities and bridge the gaps that you may be experiencing, whether that is between generations, within yourself, or with your community. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey!

Areas of Expertise: Disability • Autism • Ethical/Consensual Non-Monogamy • Life Transitions

I am Lara Juarez Rofman (she/her), and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker under the supervision of Pam Shaffer LMFT #91321. I provide online therapy for individuals, couples, and partners. I have experience working with neurodiverse individuals and members of the disability community who are struggling with anxiety or depression.

As a kink, ENM/CNM, poly, and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I strive to create a safe and supportive space with my clients to explore diverse relational models and sexual identities while providing guidance for navigating relationship transitions. Driven by an anti-ableist approach, my work promotes accessibility and inclusion while also honoring the intersectionality of the identities we hold. I am honored to help my clients navigate the often distressing world of disability in an ableist society and thrive amidst the challenges that late diagnosed autism and other neurodivergences can present.

My approach to therapy is evidence-based and tailored to your unique needs and preferences. I am committed to creating a trauma-informed environment for clients where they can work towards personal growth, improved relationships, and overall well-being. We’ll work together to explore your experiences and develop strategies for growth and fulfillment.

In my work outside of therapy, I am an advocate for economic justice for those with disabilities and have expertise in navigating workplace and educational accommodations.

Areas of Expertise: Chronic Illness & Chronic Pain • Grief & Loss • Life Transitions

I am Allyson Byers (she/her) and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Pam Shaffer LMFT #91321 and I provide online therapy to both individuals and couples in California. I work with couples and those in platonic relationships in all different stages—maybe you and your partner(s) want a dedicated space and time to connect and focus on your relationship or would like to work through challenges and issues as they arise or you’re going through a major life transition (like a new health diagnosis or moving in together) and need some additional support. Maybe you’re interested in opening up your relationship and want to explore ethical non-monogamy or polyamory. Or you and your best friend had some recent ruptures you’d like to try and repair with the help of someone else. That’s where I come in.

Relationships of all kinds—whether they are romantic or platonic—are more important than ever given the current state of the world. We heal in relation to others. But sometimes these relationships can cause pain, stress, and even trauma. I am an active therapist in the room, which means I like to provide psychoeducation when appropriate and gently challenge my couples to see things from a different perspective or dig deeper. Autonomy and self-determination are two of my most important values, which means I will support you no matter what the outcome is.

As a queer therapist with chronic illness, I am passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ couples and those in a relationship in which one person lives with chronic illness/is disabled. I also love working with couples where neurodivergence is present.
